All youth housed in Detention Services are provided full educational programming. Montgomery County Juvenile Court Detention Center operates its own educational charter which complies with state and local education laws governing the minimum number of minutes in a school day, ensuring each student receives the required number of daily educational instruction. The Detention Services school day runs from 8:25 am- 4:00 pm and participation is mandatory regardless of educational achievement, or graduation, from the home school.

The facility school operates year round with scheduled breaks. Instruction is provided by certified teachers. The facility develops an educational plan for each youth while following state guidelines.
